VOLUNTEER
How to Volunteer – As a local, grass roots nonprofit organization, El Dorado County Ag in the Classroom’s success is due to the dedication of our many volunteers. Over the last 20 years we’ve gone from a Farm Day with 10 stations with 100 students to nearly 70 stations and 1500+ students and an additional Farm Day in Tahoe, the farm school partnership program FIelds of Learning, teacher workshops, and so much more. All serving our mission of teaching a growing generation by providing high quality educational programs to increase awareness of the importance of agriculture in our lives. And none of this would be possible without our volunteers, and for them we are grateful.
There are many ways to help! Volunteers are needed for …
- Sharing their expertise and knowledge in agriculture and natural resources through one of our educational programs.
- Helping plan and organize events from the amazing Farm Days to the beloved 20 Mile Taste Fundraiser.
- Sustaining and growing the organization by serving on our board or committees - marketing, development, program, or finance.
Opportunities can be short term or ongoing. For more information, contact us at info@agintheclass-edc.org or call (530) 303-8117.
